Because today we got TWO very big boxes checked:

✅ City license in hand
✅ Plans officially RELEASED by the State Fire Marshal

Which means we are approved for permitting and moving toward our FINAL INSPECTION FOR OCCUPANCY.

WE. ARE. GETTING. CLOSER. 😭👏🏼

After the absolute circus of the last week, I am celebrating every single checked box like I just won the damn lottery. 😂

We’re not quite at the finish line yet, so keep the prayers, crossed fingers, good juju, sacrifices to the government paperwork gods—ALL OF IT—coming. 🤞🏼😂

⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This post contains an irresponsible amount of profanity, but for once, it is fueled almost entirely by gratitude, love, and being emotionally overwhelmed by really fu***ng good people. Proceed accordingly. 😂❤️

I can probably count on less than one hand the number of times in my life I have been completely speechless.

Tonight is one of them.

I think I’ve cried three separate times tonight, and every single tear has been pure gratitude for my village.

And knowing I have another whole crew coming tomorrow? I genuinely cannot wrap my head around how thankful, blessed, lucky—all of the above—I am to have the people in my life that I do.

Because y’all…

If it could go wrong this week, it FU***NG went wrong.

Every box delivered by FedEx or UPS? Damaged. Missing pieces. Broken inside.

Every hurdle I’ve tried to cross with permits, licenses, inspections and getting this damn store open? An absolute disaster.

Then at 3:00 Friday afternoon, I got a phone call telling me the U-Haul I had reserved for 8:00 this morning was being canceled because it was a one-way trip.

I called the Houma store, and that woman bent over backwards to make sure that did NOT happen. Bless her heart, she even let me cry on the phone.

She worked magic and found me a 26-foot truck.

Then I showed up today to get it…

And the customer who was supposed to return it at 5:30 basically said, “Nope. Won’t be there until 7:30. Sorry about your luck.”

So.

No truck. 😂

The young man and the other wonderful lady at U-Haul did everything they possibly could and found me a 15-foot truck instead.

And you know what?

WE FU***NG MADE IT HAPPEN.

More than 11 vehicles.

15 or 16 people.

And somehow, in about 45 minutes, we emptied a store holding EIGHT YEARS of growth into every truck, SUV, car and available square inch we had.

I’m sitting here crying again just typing that.

There is no amount of cooking I can do that will ever be enough.

There aren’t enough “let me buy you a drink” offers.

There aren’t enough hugs.

There just aren’t enough words for what tonight meant to me.

And somewhere in the middle of all this chaos, my husband reminded me:

This is just what happens with Robinsons.

We are apparently constantly pushed to the absolute limit just to see what the hell we’re made of. 😂

And honestly, our wedding should have prepared me for that.

We got married in the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav.

I was missing an entire WALL at work.

My husband was missing basically all the WINDOWS at work.

Everything around us was absolute chaos, and somehow we still had one of the most ridiculously unforgettable wedding days imaginable.

So if that kind of disaster kicked off the beautiful, strong, unbreakable marriage we have now…

Then y’all better WATCH OUT.

Because if this much s**t has to go wrong to bring Paisley Park Resale 3.0 into the world…

THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE DAMN GOOD.

My brother told me the other day to put a reminder in my calendar for August 27, 2027.

Because August 27, 2026 was the day I couldn’t stop crying.

And he said, “A year from now, just ask yourself… are you still crying?”

So I did.

And I cannot WAIT to update y’all a year from now.

Tonight though?

I’m crying.

I’m exhausted.

I’m overwhelmed.

And I have never, ever been more grateful for my people.

My village showed the f**k up tonight.

And I will never forget it. ❤️
