Nobody teaches us HOW to check in. So here’s your script. 💌

I’ve had people tell me they didn’t reach out because they didn’t know what to say. They were worried about saying the wrong thing. About making it worse. About overstepping.

Here’s what I know: showing up imperfectly is infinitely better than not showing up at all.

The wrong words said with love land better than silence every single time.

Stacie was someone who always showed up. Who texted first. Who brought food when you didn’t know you needed it. I think about that constantly — the power of just showing up.

Save this. Use it. Send it to someone who needs permission to reach out.

And if someone in your life is struggling tonight — 988 is always there. Free. 24/7. You can even call on their behalf. 💙

Drop a 💙 if you have someone in mind right now.

You don’t have to earn rest. 💫

I need to say that louder for everyone who was raised to believe that rest is a reward. That you have to be productive enough, accomplished enough, exhausted enough before you’re allowed to stop.

That belief is a lie. And it’s costing you your health.

Rest is not lazy. Rest is not selfish. Rest is not something you earn by working hard enough first.

Rest is a biological need. Your body requires it. Your nervous system demands it. Your mind cannot heal without it.

You are not a machine. You don’t have to earn the basic things that keep you alive and well.

So whatever you’re putting off — the nap, the quiet evening, the doing nothing — you have permission. Right now. Today.

You already earned it just by being here. 🌸

Save this for the next time the guilt kicks in. 💙

This “Dear Me” letter is for every person who survived versions of themselves they barely recognize now.
The teenager carrying adult pain.
The parent still learning while raising children.
The person silently struggling while everyone thinks they’re “strong.”
The soul trying to heal without becoming hard.
At Stacie Ree, our mission has always been bigger than music.
It’s about turning pain into purpose, stories into healing, and reminding people they are not alone in what they carry.
If this post speaks to you, share it with someone who needs the reminder:
Your past is not evidence against you.
You are still worthy of love, rest, healing, and a future that feels soft again. 🤍

I wrote this from the places she didn’t have words for at the time…
Naive is me, is a song about her and how she learned she deserved more. Songs are now being published on Spotify and Apple Music with more to drop soon!

If anxiety hits you mid-day — do this with me right now. 😮‍💨

I’m talking about the kind that sneaks up on you at your desk. In the car. In the middle of a meeting when your brain just decides it’s time to spiral.

This technique is called 4-7-8 breathing. It’s not woo-woo. It’s neuroscience. When you extend your exhale longer than your inhale, you activate your parasympathetic nervous system — the part of your brain that says “you’re safe, you can calm down now.”

Your nervous system cannot tell the difference between real calm and performed calm. So when you breathe like you’re okay — your body starts to believe it.

Do it 3 times. Right now. I’ll wait.

Breathe IN for 4.
Hold for 7.
Out for 8.

Save this for the next time anxiety hits when you least expect it. 💙

And if anxiety is more than occasional — you deserve support. 988 is always there. Free. 24/7.

I ignored every single one of these for two years. 🚩

Not because I didn’t care. Because I was too good at performing okay.

We learn so early to push through. To minimize. To tell ourselves “other people have it worse” and keep moving. And by the time we realize something is actually wrong — we’ve been wrong for a long time.

These aren’t character flaws. They’re not weakness. They’re your mind waving a flag, asking you to pay attention.

Save this. Screenshot it. Send it to the person in your life who needs it.

And if you’re seeing yourself in more than three of these — please reach out to someone. A therapist, a friend, a hotline. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

988 is always there. Free. 24/7. 💙

Which one did you ignore the longest? You don’t have to answer — but if you want to, I’m here.
