Hey gang
After taking some time to process everything… it makes me so sad to say this, but our Porter-chan might have bone cancer.
What we thought was just a sprain turned out to be something much more serious. The vet and radiologist said it might be cancer based on how it looks, but we won’t know for sure until we get a biopsy done. Hearing that was ..like what..cancer? NANI TF BRO. They’ve already talked to us about possible amputation or radiation therapy and honestly both options suck. I don’t wanna think of Porter as a tripod or undergoing radiation therapy..
We never imagined we’d be dealing with something like this.. Cancer really is rated E for everyone… and it hits hard when it’s your own furbaby. It’s been a lot to take in, and I don’t even fully know how to feel yet. I just know it hurts seeing Porter in pain. We have to go get the biopsy done and see what the results say.
But… I also know our boy is strong. We made a blood pact the moment he scratched us, so he still owes us a few more lives 😈
For this weekend’s release, all proceeds will be going toward Porter’s care. Whatever he needs, we’ll make sure he gets it. Mom, dad, and the gang got him.
We also had a really hard conversation and decided that Porter and Saber will be our last furbabies. The love is unmatched, but the pain… it’s a lot. So we’re going to do everything we can to give Porter the best outcome and the best life possible.
