Two became seventeen.
And now there is apparently a full-blown winter HOA meeting happening on this quilt.

Do I regret it?

🎃 Dear Swap Partner…Hi!👋 I’m Bree… welcome to my little corner of spooky season. 👻💜🧛‍♀️

These mosaics are basically my Halloween personality in pictures. I gravitate toward bright, happy colors over dark and spooky—think fuchsia, orange, purple, lime, aqua, and black. Cute ghosts, witches, bats, patchwork, tiny details, and anything with a modern, playful vibe will always catch my eye.

I love bags (seriously… I can never have too many 😅), pouches, mini quilts, decor, and practical handmade goodies. I also have a soft spot for bold geometric designs, fun fussy cuts, and quilts that make you stop and smile.

Honestly though? My favorite part of this is knowing someone spent time creating something just for me. Whatever you make, I know I’ll treasure it because it came from your hands and your heart. Happy stitching, and I can’t wait to meet you after the big reveal! 🖤🧡👻

🌈 Color has always been part of my creative story.

This weekend I finally stepped away from fabric for a brief moment and picked up a paintbrush and joined in on the fun The Sewcial Box for the barn quilt painting class with Javibe Barn Quilts by creating this bold rainbow barn quilt. Even though it’s paint instead of stitches, the same things inspire me—color, geometry, movement, and making something that brings people joy.

Creativity doesn’t have to stay in one lane. Sometimes the best ideas come from trying something new. 💛

And, I already have plans for the next one… 🎨😂

Every quilter or sewist has a practice piece.

New thread combinations.
New motifs.
A design that doesn’t quite go as planned. Another that surprises you.

This is where confidence is built—not on the finished piece, but in the stitches no one else was meant to see.

Today, I’m simply enjoying the process. Every pass across the quilt is another opportunity to learn, refine, and grow.

Proud to share this part of my creative journey with both Piper Lane Kids Co and The Sewcial Box where that same passion for quilting and sewing is passed on to others. 💜
