Happy World Pangolin Day! 💚
Not long ago, pangolins were virtually unknown to much of the world. But thanks in part to the growing awareness and advocacy from YOU, these unique animals are finally getting the attention they deserve. That rising public support is helping create real momentum for their protection.
Here are three recent wins for pangolins worth celebrating today:
- China removed all pangolin-based medicines from its official medicine list in 2025.
- In Cameroon, the average price of pangolin scales fell 45%-75% between 2020 and 2025 — a sign that traffickers are losing buyers. [Source: LAGA]
- In 2024, a group of traditional medicine professionals formed a global coalition to replace formulas using endangered species such as pangolins with sustainable, plant-based alternatives. This growing movement is helping traditional medicine return to its roots in balance, sustainability, and harmony with nature.
