So proud to see Tulsi Gabbard confirmed as our new Director of National Intelligence. 🇺🇸
Her 20+ years serving our country in uniform and in public service is a true testament to her being the BEST person for the role.
In case you don't know Tulsi, here are a few FACTS
FACT: Tulsi served as the youngest state legislator in Hawaii from 2002 to 2004
FACT: Tulsi joined the Hawaii Army National Guard in 2003 and was deployed to Iraq from '04 to '05
FACT: Tulsi graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a BS in Business Administration
FACT: Tulsi served as a specialist in a medical unit, & received the Combat Medical Badge in '05.
FACT: Tulsi completed officer training at Alabama Military Academy in 2007.
FACT: Tulsi was stationed in Kuwait from '08 to '09 a Army MP platoon leader.
FACT: Tulsi was promoted to Major within the Hawaii Army National Guard in 2015.
FACT: Tulsi transferred to the US Army Reserve in 2020
FACT: Tulsi was promoted to lieutenant colonel in 2021
FACT: Tulsi served as US representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district 2013 - 2021
FACT: Tulsi served on the House Armed Services Committee for all 4 terms in Congress.
FACT: Tulsi was born on April 12, 1981, in Leloaloa, Maʻopūtasi County, on American Samoa's main island of Tutuila.
FACT: Tulsi's mom was born in Indiana & grew up in Michigan, while her dad qas born in American Samoa & was raised in Florida and Hawaii.
Tulsi is as American as American can be and brings to the table experience in service, leadership & sacrifice.
Watching her poise and intelligent articulation in the face of false accusations, lies and disinformation by both the congressional and senate committee's on her experience, she clearly displayed more character and dignity than those trying to undermine her.
This is a proud day in American history to see an American like Tulsi Gabbard bring patriotism back into the hallways of our federal government.
