On Christmas Eve, my son, Sean Thomas , played Santa Claus at The Cracker Barrel Pearland for all of the customers who arrived for breakfast! He handed out 18 gifts before running out. We bought candy and other small goodies and even had Ronda, a Cracker Barrel employee pitch in and buy little gifts and candy for the kids out of her own money! She also played Santa's helper. This was Sean's third year playing Santa on his own. The Cracker Barrel didn't ask him to do it, but definitely accepted it with open arms and tremendous smiles. We will see you next year! Thanks Sean for your charm, dedication, and gift for bringing smiles to kids at Christmas!!!

Our Annual Christmas Party was a great success! We were sponsored by The Cracker Barrel Pearland with the restaurant providing full meals and drinks for 13 kids and 5 parents. Gifts were provided by The Cracker Barrel Pearland retail store for all 13 kids and their parents. Friends of The Walk In My Shoes Foundation also provided gifts of pajamas, clothing, and house shoes. We played games with winning prizes and desserts were provided by me. All in all everyone had a fantastic celebration. We were able to sponsor 3 families this year and are looking forward to sponsoring more with the help of others like yourselves!

Each year, The Walk In My Shoes Foundation ends the year with a Christmas party honoring two needy families, and this year is no different. I enlist the help of my group, The Empowered Divas Network, to help make the holiday season special for those families. This year is no different. There are two families we will be helping this holiday season: 1 single, disabled mom with five kids, and a family with an unemployed mom and dad and six kids! The goal is to provide Christmas pajamas and house slippers for each member. I have already enlisted the help of the manager of The Cracker Barrel in Pearland to assist me with a Christmas party for both families. I NEED YOUR HELP WITH PAJAMAS AND HOUSE SLIPPERS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

It's that time of year again! The fall/winter season seems to be the hardest on the low income and homeless population. We need your help to supply shoes to children, women, and men during the winter months. We need CLOSED-TOED SHOES AND BOOTS. Collections will be held on Sunday, November 30th, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. - 4411 Tareyton Lane, Houston, TX 77047. PLEASE NOTE: SHOES AND BOOTS MUST BE GENTLY USED OR BRAND NEW. In past collections, donors have taken this event as their opportunity to bring their "throwaways" to us and drop them off leaving us with the chore of sorting through trash shoes and even their garbage! Shameful actions! We will, however, not allow donors to drop and run this year. I'm sure you can appreciate us taking each donation drop as an opportunity to immediately go through the box or bag that you bring us while you wait. If we find that your donation cannot be accepted, you will be able to take them with you to discard as you wish or keep. The one thing we stress is RESPECT. We must all treat our underprivileged population with the utmost respect when giving them freely. If you will not wear or allow your children to wear shoes or boots because they are so worn out or tattered, please do not bring them to our donation event. Treat others as you want to be treated...ALWAYS. For more information on our donation event, please inbox me or call 713-391-9575. Thank you!!!

This holiday season has been a definite busy and exciting one. We had two single moms to reach out for clothing and shoes for their kids. The first mom is single with five kids homeless staying with a friend for the past 7 months. Her kids are ages 8 mts., 2 yrs., 4 yrs., 9 yrs., and 12 years old all very energetic happy kids. Mom has reached out for food assistance, clothes, and shoes for her babies and we have reached out to our supporters for assistance with providing their needs. We have even collected toys for the kids to open on Christmas morning.

Mom no. 2 is single with 6 kids: triplets age 5, twins age 11, and a 14-year-old son all needing clothes, shoes, and gifts for Christmas. Unfortunately, this family is not happy and energetic as mom lost her job three weeks ago and is feeling the pinch. We have collected clothing, a few pairs of shoes, and some toys for them to open on Christmas morning.

Each family needs food and all other items listed. Donations of clothing and toys are promised by several people to be delivered to me on tomorrow. If you would like to contribute, please contact me at 713-391-9575 and/or CashApp: $SheilaLavallies. During this holiday season, we ask that you open your hearts to help support these two families. “What should we do then?” the crowd asked. John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”

James 2:15-16
