The weather is too good to stay inside! 🌞

It's a mandatory 'sit on a patio and read a book' day here at Creó. We've got you covered on the patio, and books - all you've got to do is come through and hang out.

Why not romanticize your afternoon a little? Journal until you discover something new. Work until your ideas feel alive again. Read until the light shifts and happy hour calls your name.

For Sound Salon Vol. 3 we are beyond stoked to have one of Houston's most genre-defying ensembles, .son, performing for our community. We offer limited seating for this event to help keep it intimate and focused, so we recommend buying your tickets in advance.

AURUM SON :
Blending jazz, global music traditions, and experimental sound through improvisation and evolving composition - Aurum Son creates soundscapes that are expansive and deeply attuned. Their work moves fluidly between structure and spontaneity in its rhythm, tone, and texture in a way that is absolutely gripping.

We're bummed to announce that Sound Salon Vol. 3 will not be happening this Saturday... BUT it will happen (Houston weather permitting) on May 11th!

Sound Salon is clearly something that works. Modeled after our own desire for more intimate and intentional listening experiences; it's an event that allows the audience to focus on the nuances and skill of the artists in front of them. It's all about the sound, the subtleties, and the connection that's felt when everyone (artist and audience) are truly locked-in and present.

Artist highlight : Stephanie Gonzalez 🌞

Stephanie’s practice explores intuition, transformation, and the unseen forces that shape our inner and outer worlds. Working across mixed media, painting, and textiles, her pieces blur the line between the physical and the spiritual - creating visual experiences that feel both grounded and expansive.

Steph is one of our favorites, for sure. Her work never ceases to amaze, and we're proud to currently have so many pieces by her available here at Creó. We have prints, framed original work, and a wonderful selection of handmade bags and book sleeves.

Having her work in our mercantile is *almost* as good as taking them home for ourselves. They naturally add so much depth, character, and spirit to every room and when you walk into a space with her art in it - it's like running into an old friend.. it just feels like you're in the right place.

Swing by the shop this weekend to explore her work for yourself! Watching them go home with you will be so bittersweet, but we'll get over it (especially once she brings us more.)
