Another week, another Weekly Sneaker Fix! 👟

This week we’re talking about three Jordan releases that tell a bigger story about where sneaker culture is heading.

🟡 J Balvin x Jordan 4 Amazonas — One of the more disappointing collaboration releases of the year, in my opinion. We have two pairs in hand, but the excitement surrounding this release didn’t seem to translate into strong demand.

🔵 Air Jordan 1 Royal — Nine years since the last original leather release, and even with special packaging, these aren’t flying off shelves. Personally, I’m waiting to grab a pair below retail.

🔴 Air Jordan 5 Halloween — Dropping October 17, and I think these have a real chance of being one of the stronger releases this month.

Here’s my take: sneakerheads aren’t necessarily losing interest in sneakers. We’re becoming more selective about what we buy and when we buy it.

Not every release deserves an immediate purchase, and not every collaboration guarantees demand.

A sneaker can be worth owning without being worth buying on release day.

Are sneakerheads getting smarter, or is Jordan losing its hype?
