🇺🇸 Middle East Update
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that U.S. Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEU) conducted a verification boarding of the merchant vessel M/T Wen Yao in the Gulf of Oman on July 16.
According to the update, U.S. forces have recently redirected several commercial vessels attempting to transit the area, stopped one vessel that did not comply with maritime instructions, and boarded another to verify compliance with the current naval security measures.
Maritime operations in the region remain under close observation as tensions continue.
