Why do we save feeling amazing for special occasions?

Nobody settles for an "it'll do" wedding gown. Every piece in this fitting room gets fit until it's exactly right.

So why does the rest of your closet get less?

I will say that joining the Chamber almost 2 years ago and taking advantages of the Business Hub has been such an enormous boost to my business growth and also my confidence as a business owner.

When is it worth it?

Why is a dress that you paid a lot of money for, but you will only wear it once, worth the alterations investment but the clothes you will be wearing every single day and can affect how you see yourself are not?

Before anyone told us how to dress, we already knew.

Polka dots with stripes. Every clashing color in the closet. That princess costume worn three days straight. We dressed for joy because nobody had taught us not to yet.

I wonder if I'm not being clear.

When I talk about getting dressed, I'm not talking about how other people see your clothes. I'm talking about how you feel in your own skin.

That's the part nobody talks about. The moment your confidence shifts, the way you carry yourself changes. And that's what people actually respond to. Not the outfit. You.

I've watched it happen in my studio more times than I can count. A woman puts something on that finally fits, and something in her posture changes and this is just at the stage of pinning. I haven sewn a stitch yet.

That's not about clothes. That's about how the world finally sees the woman who was already there.

Callie fell in love with this skirt, just not what was on top of it. So instead of settling, we transformed her wedding gown into a two-piece: the strapless bodice she actually wanted, paired with the skirt she couldn't let go of. Sometimes the perfect dress isn't the one you find off the rack. It's the one you build around what you already love. 🤍
