Hi new friends! I figured it was time to reintroduce myself for anyone that doesn’t know the family behind the businesses ♥️

I’m Morgan! I’m 32, a wife, a mom of 2 and the owner of Simply Cherry and Maya & Cooper’s Slime Cafe in Howell.

Cooper and Maya are the reason behind so much of what I do, and I’m always trying to balance family with the businesses I love. Thankfully, my husband Dylan supports all my crazy ideas and somehow ended up with a job he never applied for. He’s recently started making patch hats and has become the unofficial gossip buddy for all the moms on mom nights 😂

SC started because I wanted to create something of my own. Somehow, that little idea grew into a retail store, a slime cafe, birthday parties, events and about a million more ideas I haven’t gotten to yet.

I’m creative to my core. Once I get an idea, it becomes my entire personality until I make it happen. Sometimes it’s amazing, and sometimes it’s a very expensive lesson 🫣

I have ADD and pretty high anxiety, which is a fun combination when you own multiple businesses. My brain has 47 tabs open at all times, and at least 12 are playing songs triggered by something someone said across the room.

I’m also a WIDE open book. I overshare, overthink, and genuinely love getting to know people. If you come into my store, there’s a good chance you’ll know my entire life story before you leave 😅

I work hard, I’m passionate and I care A LOT. Sometimes too much. I’ve made mistakes, learned some tough lessons and I’m still learning that I can’t make everyone happy.

I’m not some perfectly organized entrepreneur with a five-year plan and color coded binder. I’m just a girl with an idea, a coffee, and an unreasonable amount of confidence that I’ll figure it out 😂

But I’m really proud of what I’ve built. I love this community like family and getting to watch my ideas come to life and share them with all of you is something I’ll never take for granted.

🖤 ATTENTION EMO FRIENDS!! 🖤

First of all, SO many of you have asked if we’re bringing Emo Night back this year and that just makes me so stinkin happy 🥲 So obviously, we’re doing it!! But we need your help with something…

We’re working on hosting it at the Opera House this time around, but with the holiday season sneaking up on us, we’re trying to decide when to make it happen!

Would you rather we squeeze it in before the holidays or wait until January when all the holiday craziness has settled down?

The Detroit Lions, with Nike, will be hosting their Rivalries high school football takeover at our game this Friday, October 9 when we take on Brighton. Be sure to get to the game early to participate in these fun Nike Rivalries activations!

A few updates 🍒

I haven’t been feeling the best this week, and today my body finally said, “Nope, you need to sit.” So unfortunately, I’m not in the store pressing todayI plan to be back first thing tomorrow doing double time! Quite a few orders came in over the weekend of September 18–20 and are due today, so those will unfortunately be running a day behind. I’m really sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while I catch up!

Windbreakers - All prints are in, and these are on tomorrow’s list to crank out!

Mock necks - These were backordered a second time. My preorder is already in, so I’ll be among the first to receive them when they’re available. The current estimate is "beginning of October" so I'm crossing my fingers it'll be either the end of this week or next week. I'll keep you posted!

Emails and messages - I’m a bit behind, but I’m working through replies today. If you’re waiting on a response, hang tight. I’m coming!

Stop in during Howellween to check out everything we offer for birthday parties! We’ll also have a squishy buffet and pumpkin bedazzling! Check out our event pages for more details!

And we’ve hired THREE new employees these past few weeks! Make sure you say hey to Courtney, Sarah, and Jenni next time you’re in. They’re wonderful, and I can’t wait for you all to meet them! :)

Windbreaker update! They are IN! 🎉

I’ll be pressing them, and orders will start going out tomorrow.

One heads-up: the green on the bottom of the gold and green striped windbreaker came in much darker than expected. Those are being remade and shipped to me this week. I’ll email everyone who ordered that style so you can choose to take the one we have now or wait for the corrected version.
