When I opened One:Nine 10 years ago, God placed three dreams on my heart:
⢠To create a retail experience that was set apartâwhere women felt cared for and left encouraged every time they shopped with us.
⢠To build a team of remarkable women and a joyful place to workâwhere every woman felt encouraged to use her God-given gifts and be part of something impactful.
⢠And most importantlyâto be home raising and chasing my kids.
They all came trueâIâm so grateful.
âŚit started with 60-hour weeks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the store, and many late nightsâbuying, building, creating.
Along the wayâŚa dreamy rebrand, renovations, 30+ buying markets, tens of thousands of styles handpicked, millions of dollars of product sold, countless events, and thousands poured back into local schools, non-profits, and organizations that mean so much to me and our team.
Watching women walk out feeling joyful + confident, and my team step into leadership and their God-given gifts. What a gift itâs all been.
And after years of hard work, what once looked like long days at the store became
weekday park dates with my kids,
dance parties to worship music at noon,
fort building in the living room,
ice cream on a Monday,
digging dates in the sandbox,
their little hands in mine on every adventure,
traveling with them to our favorite places,
and getting to see the world through their little eyesâ
present for every snuggle and every sniffle,
every milestone and the sweetest everyday moments.
Being home raising my babies⌠this was always the dream.
And I got to do that while building something meaningful alongside a team I love, serving our community together, and being fully present for what matters most to meâMotherhood, being Leo + Livâs mom.
To me, thatâs success.
Over the last 10 years, weâve sold hundreds of thousands of piecesâŚbut it was never about the clothes. It was about all of youâto the tens of thousands of women weâve styled since day oneâthank you.
And to the women of Team One:Nineâpast and presentâthe biggest thank you.You showed up, served beautifully, and used your God-given gifts in ways that impacted so manyâincluding me.
And Hails đ¤ She walked into my office at 18 for an interview⌠and grew from stylist to buying intern to manager to co-owner in 2022.
She is talent, humility, kindnessâand so much more. A true gem and the best partner.
I love her like a little sister and admire and respect her deeply. Iâm so grateful for who she is in my life and what weâve created together with our team.
As for whatâs nextâŚIâm already living my dreamâhome with my kids, soaking up every moment of motherhood đ¤and Iâm looking forward to a slow, sweet summer with Nick + the kidsâtraveling, making memories, and savoring every little giggle and bite of ice cream.
And Iâm so excited for whatâs aheadâto build + create something new with Hails
and step into a new way of serving women through consultingâsharing what Iâve learned over the last decade in this industry and as an entrepreneur,and getting to help women build a business and a life they love, just like I did.
After 10 beautiful years, weâve chosen not to renew our leaseâand are stepping into a new chapter, serving women in a new way.
