Countrywool has resisted stocking interchangeable needles for years. (Uneven results with various brands was the reason.)
Now that I’ve had a chance to discover how useful they can be by using two different sized tips on the same cord, I’m sold!
Addi has the best reputation for stability, so our first order is here!
To make the transition less expensive, add just the starter set (includes all cords and 3 tip sizes ) to your tool kit, and add more needle tip sizes as needed. The handy case it comes in offers a home slot for EVERY size. Neat!

Sitting at the car dealers knitting while I wait.

Hot and muggy weather is here for a few days…time to retire into the AC with knitting projects to weather the afternoons. Perfect time to finish up Heather’s Cardigan sweater project. Today…sewing on buttons and blocking.

The vegetable garden is finally IN, and I can concentrate again on knitted projects. It has been a GLORIOUS spring here in Columbia County and being outside is the BEST medicine :) Now to prepare for humid and hot weather, right?
2026 is all about knitting sweaters for those near and dear to me. I have 2 sweaters on my needles right now, and 2 more planned.
Next up is a DK weight pullover with pockets. I'll follow Countrywool's ROLL NECK sweater pattern for the basics, just tweaking the size followed for the finer yarn I'll be using.
This sweater will have some unique additions. One of them is adding a sweatshirt styled pocket to the front. I did some research online and found this FREE pattern that explains the pocket concept nicely. So easy to knit in the round!!!!!!!
