A couple rainy days equals quilting days around here—and much needed quilting days at that!

I set a goal for myself to get this stack of 8 quilts finished before the end of the day, and I’m happy to say… goal accomplished!

They’re all quilted, finished, and ready for their customers to pick up.

There’s just something satisfying about seeing a stack of quilts go from the “to-do” pile to the “ready for pickup” pile!

The flowers just keep getting prettier every day! The dahlias are now in full bloom, and they are definitely stealing the show. Every cup is a little different, making each one a unique bouquet of God's beautiful creation.

Don't forget—we have two pickup locations, (9125 W 400 S and 8900 W 400 S Hudson IN) and each location has different flower selections, so be sure to check them both to find your favorite blooms!

Here at Cow Pasture Creations, we grow flowers for so many reasons. Yes, they're beautiful, but they also bring us joy, support our pollinators, and allow us to share a little happiness with others.

Recently, a friend picked up a bouquet for her sister, who has since passed away. I never had the privilege of knowing her, but it means so much to me to know that our flowers were able to bring a little beauty and comfort into her life.

Around here, it's about more than just flowers. It's about sharing the love and beauty of God's creation, creating moments of joy, and reminding others that even the simplest things can make a lasting impact.

Every quilt starts long before the first stitch is sewn.

Once I've gathered all of my fabrics, I take some time to sit down with the pattern and really study it. I like to understand how all of the pieces will come together and see where each fabric is assigned according to the pattern.

Then comes the fun part—deciding which of my fabrics will take the place of each one in the pattern! I make plenty of notes so I can keep everything straight. Sometimes I'll even use painter's tape to label the fabrics with the corresponding numbers or letters from the pattern. It saves a lot of second-guessing later!

A little planning on the front end makes the piecing process so much smoother. It may not be the most exciting part of quilting, but it's one of the most important steps in turning a stack of fabric into a beautiful quilt.
