Finally getting back into regular work mode! Sorry for all the non-dress posts lately!

I’ll have gown updates for clients coming soon, plus some ready-to-ship gowns for sale, mostly plus size!

I’ve also been thinking about a way we can continue helping the boys we all just bought a home for. The older boy started a job today making ₱3,000 a month, about $48 USD, to help provide for his family.

It got me thinking… what if I commission him to make more of those recycled flowers he creates, find a way to incorporate them into one of my gowns, and then auction the finished gown?

We could put the proceeds into a bank account for them for emergencies, food, school needs, and anything else that comes up.

I don’t want to just help them in the moment. I’d love to find ways to give them opportunities to earn money and create a little security for their future.

Just thinking ahead… recycled flowers turned into couture for a good cause sounds pretty amazing to me. ❤️

WE DID IT! 😭❤️🏠

Because of all of you, these kids now have a HOME. A safe place to sleep. A roof over their heads to protect them from the rain, storms, and heat. A place where they can finally feel safe.

I honestly don’t even know how to put into words how grateful I am.

What happened to these children is absolutely devastating. They lost both of their parents, were left trying to survive on their own, and the older siblings suddenly had the responsibility of caring for the younger ones when they were still kids themselves. When we first learned about them, they were struggling just to have enough food to eat.

And now look at those smiles. 😭❤️

Thank you to the people who first discovered them and shared their story. Thank you to my assistant for showing their story to me. Thank you to everyone in the barangay and the community who volunteered, helped, built, carried, organized, and showed up for these kids.

And most of all, THANK YOU to every single person who donated, shared their story, sent words of encouragement, or simply took the time to care. You opened your hearts to children you had never even met, and together you completely changed their lives.

Because of your donations, we were able to get them their new home, take them shopping for new clothes, bedding, toiletries, basic necessities, food to last them for quite some time, and even some things that weren’t just about surviving, but about letting them have FUN and feel like kids again. ❤️

And there is even more good news!

Their eldest brother, Lionel, who is only 18 years old, was able to get a job as a groundskeeper and starts TOMORROW! 🥹 He now has an opportunity to earn an income, provide for his younger siblings, and most importantly, KEEP THIS FAMILY TOGETHER!!!

Great news! 🥹❤️ The local community came together and built a much sturdier wall for the boys’ current shelter. It has been raining A LOT, so this was such an important and immediate relief for them. 🙏🏼

The first batch of donations has officially transferred, totaling ₱44,840.48 based on the current exchange rate! We’ll be putting ALL of it toward the down payment for their new home. 🏡❤️

Once the rest of the donations transfer, our plan is to:

🏡 Pay the remaining balance toward the ₱97,000 cost of their new home

🛏️ Use the remaining ₱41,619 to provide them with the things they desperately need: beds, mattresses, blankets, pillows, toiletries, first-aid supplies, clean water, food, clothing, and other basic necessities.

If you have suggestions for anything else we should make sure these boys have, we’re all ears! We want to make sure we’re thinking beyond just the house and giving them what they need to actually live safely and comfortably.

And most importantly, EVERY PESO WILL BE ACCOUNTED FOR. ALL RECEIPTS WILL BE POSTED. ❤️

Showing you guys the beginning stages of how we bead our gowns! This is a bacunawa inspired gown (moon eating dragon) the moons and dragon will be embroidered on the ribs area to make it look like it’s tattooed on the skin!
Also, I’m thinking of rebranding… since I am now living in a beautiful small island, trying to elevate my craft, what’s your thoughts on just using my name Christian Garcia Couture? Fashion Hut instead of house? Hahaha I’d love your suggestions!

A few days ago, I came across a post about two young brothers who lost both of their parents and are now trying to survive on their own. After finding out they were only about an hour and 45 minutes away from me, I decided to go see their situation for myself.

This is their home.

What you see in this video is their reality. No proper walls. No real protection from the rain or weather. Very little food. And yet, instead of simply asking people for money, these boys have been making small crafts and selling them just so they can eat.

As a father, this absolutely broke my heart. My kids get to worry about school, friends, toys and being kids. These boys are worrying about where their next meal is coming from and whether their home will protect them when it rains.

I want to change that.

My goal is to help build them a safe, sustainable little home and make sure they have food, basic necessities, and some stability while we figure out how to help them long-term.

I created a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to be part of this. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this video or the fundraiser can make a huge difference.

I’ll also be documenting where the donations go and sharing the progress so everyone who helps can see exactly what we’re able to do together.

Yesterday, I went to see the two boys I posted about, and unfortunately, their situation is very real. 💔

Seeing it in person was honestly devastating.

Their “home” is essentially a roof raised on stilts, with pieces of fabric serving as walls. They have lost both of their parents, and it was heartbreaking to see how thin they are and how little they have. Yet what struck me the most is that they aren’t sitting there begging for money.

They’re making little crafts with their own hands and trying to sell them so they can buy food. They’re just kids trying to earn enough to survive.

As a parent of teenagers, this really hit me hard. We spend so much of our lives trying to give our children everything we possibly can, making sure they’re fed, safe, comfortable, and able to actually enjoy being kids. Then you meet children like these two, who have already lost both of their parents and don’t even have the luxury of having a normal childhood because they’re too busy trying to survive.

I don’t want this to just be a sad post. I want to figure out how we can actually help change their situation. Not just for one meal or one day, but in ways that can make their lives safer, healthier, and a little easier.

Maybe we can help improve their home, make sure they have consistent food, help with school and necessities, or even help them turn the crafts they’re already making into something that can provide them with a small, steady income.

I know there are a lot of good people following this page, so I’m asking you guys: What can we do? What ideas do you have that could genuinely improve these boys’ lives long-term?

They’ve already been through more than any child should have to go through. Maybe together, we can give them a few of the blessings every child deserves.

This post came across my feed while I was scrolling, and I couldn’t stop thinking about these boys.

Their names are Lionel and Landler. They also have a second grader sibling who lives with them. They live in Palawan, and according to the original post, they lost both of their parents within months of each other. They’re now trying to get by on their own, and there are apparently days when they barely have enough food.

When I realized they were only about an hour away from me, I decided to reach out. I spoke directly with the person who originally brought attention to their situation to make sure this was legitimate, and I told them I would like to visit the boys myself.

I’m not posting this to ask anyone for money right now. I want to meet them first, see how they’re doing, talk to the people caring for and helping them, and find out what they actually need.

Maybe it’s food. Maybe it’s clothing, repairs to their home, school needs, or simply having people show up for them. I don’t know yet.

But I have this platform, and if sharing their story can eventually help make these two kids’ lives even a little easier, then I think it’s worth using it for that.

I’m hoping to visit them today. I’ll let you guys know what I find out and how we might be able to help.

Sorry it’s been a little while since I last posted! 💙 The boys and I have been recovering from a pretty bad flu, and they’ve already missed two weeks of school 😭

Thankfully, work has continued moving along, and I’m so grateful to have an amazing team that keeps everything going even when life gets a little crazy. 🥹

A little life update: we’re currently waiting to close on the church house! Unfortunately, it’ll still be a little while before my wife and daughter can come home, and we miss them TERRIBLY. 😭 I genuinely don’t know how people do long-distance families. Growing up, my dad worked in the Middle East and we only got to see him about 40 days out of the entire year. As a kid I never fully understood what that must have been like for my parents. Now, even this short time apart has given me a completely different perspective. ❤️

Anyway, slowly getting back to normal… and I figured this dreamy blue ombré star-lace wedding gown deserved a little moment. ✨🌙💙 Because apparently even when life is chaotic, we can still make a little magic.
