We're all hunting for a little extra cash these days, and at Kid's Market you can find everything you need for infants through teens at the best prices! We have gently-used clothes, shoes, baby gear, books, games, toys, crafts, decor, bikes, furniture, maternity, and more!

Need not only savings but also money for holiday shopping? Consign with us! Our consignors price their items and keep 2/3 of the selling amount, AND they get to shop before the public! Our volunteers shop even sooner for the very best deals. We love hearing that our consignors earned more than they spent!

*No children over the age of 6 months permitted on Monday, Aug 31. Babies must be worn in a carrier; no strollers. (Contained/supervised kids of all ages are welcome beginning Sept 1, but please keep them close and do not let them play in the racks or with the toys!)

🇺🇸 Bring your ID/badge along with you to get in, and also bring a wagon/laundry basket for shopping as our carts go fast! 🛍 ONE shopper per badge!
🇺🇸 Remember: No kiddos over the age of six months old are permitted on this day. Babes must be worn in carriers; no infants in strollers or car-seats in buggies. Grab a coffee on the way and enjoy the time out solo! ☕️

We so appreciate our local foster families!

If you're a foster parent and want the chance to "shop" (for free!) all the items that were marked "donate" during Pickup Day (Friday, Sept 18, 9a-6p), all you have to do is sign up to volunteer for one 5-hour shift during the sale!

Sign up for your one shift through the consignor portal (link & instructions in pinned/featured post)! You don't even have to create a consignor account -- click the create a volunteer account only button at the bottom of the page.

If you're a friend of a foster parent, you can also work a shift for THEM to come shop!

🧷 CONSIGNORS!🧷

👉Please make sure your items cannot be STRETCHED OFF your hanger -- especially sweaters, big girls, juniors, and maternity!👈

If they can, THEY WILL, but ❌DON'T just pin them to the top rail of the hanger!
(This applies to items with waistbands also -- MASKING TAPE is our friend!)

✅DO use a piece or two of masking tape around the TOP rail of the hanger, then pin straps/collar/waistband THROUGH the masking tape and AROUND the hanger rail.

TA-DA! 🪄 It won't slip off and around anymore, which means shoppers will see your item!

If they can't see it, they can't buy it!

We have now instituted a "three strikes policy." If you have more than three obviously stained, dirty, or damaged items that get pulled this sale, you will be notified and put on "probation." If during a future sale this happens again, you will no longer be able to consign with us.

We want to address a recurring issue -- though it has been better the last couple sales!

Stains and damaged items.

There are always stains that slip through Receiving. Always a few items that have made the former owners (and now us) go "Eww! Why did they think THAT would sell?" But this time, y'all, it was excessive!

Our shoppers need to trust that they can find quality items at Kid's Market without having to dig through racks of stained clothes, shoes that still have mud on them, puzzles/games missing pieces, baby items folded in such a way as to hide damage, etc. Otherwise, those shoppers will stop coming, and your items won't sell.

So to Shoppers: We want you to know that we realize there was a problem. There are only two of us there full time and a few volunteers each day. We try to look at items as they come through during Receiving, then we look through them again during Organization, and again all throughout the sale as we have the hands to do so, but there are over 100,000 items and very few of us, so it's often a matter of choosing between keeping checkout lines short and having volunteers searching the racks for stains.

To Consignors: Y'all are our first "line of defense" when it comes to keeping Kid's Market the best consignment sale in the area (in our humble opinion). Make sure that you have GREAT lighting while you tag your items and that you look over them carefully. If there is a minor issue with the item but you feel someone might still *really* want to buy it, you MUST indicate the issue in the tag description and price it accordingly. Check over items that have been exposed to moisture carefully. Open the strollers and camp chairs to check for mildew, etc.

Here are a few tips on how to increase your sales as a consignor!

💰 Share share share our posts and invite people to like our page! More shoppers = bigger checks for you and more deals for your friends and family!

💰 Price your items right! Don't look at something and ask, "How much $$$ do I *want* for this?" Ask yourself, "How much $$$ would I *pay* for this if I didn't already have it?"

💰 Resist the urge to keep everything "Full Price" during discount days. Something about human nature, but shoppers *won't buy* full price items during the 50% weekend, and sometimes they avoid them even BEFORE the discount weekend, just because. Save the "Full Price" option for items that you would be willing to take the trouble of selling at the price you want on FB Marketplace/eBay if they don't sell.

💰 Don't bring in stained/torn/damaged items! They *won't* sell, but they *will* give shoppers a "bad taste" for the entire sale. (Tip: Look at an item in sunlight for stains. Store lights are often more revealing than home lights.) Don't waste your time and hanger/pin/tag on something that needs to be turned into rags or donated.

💰 Ditto for out-of-season items. Save them for next sale when folks will actually be looking for them!

💰 WASH and CLEAN your items before drop-off. I know that can be a hassle, but a well-presented item not only has a better chance of selling, it has a better chance of selling for MORE.

💰 Hang and pin your items correctly! (Check our website for instructions, which have been posted below on our FB page also.) This allows your item to be seen at its best and reduces the chance of your tag getting separated from your item.

💰 Write sufficient details in your description that will allow us to match a lost tag with its item in case it falls off. We can't sell your item without a tag.

💲Cost: $3 for 20 hangers and $1.50 for ~150 safety pins. There will be a small fee for card purchases.

1. Order them right to your doorstep from Cleaner's Supply! If you don't need them in bulk, split a box with a friend or two! (We don't get kickbacks from this website.)

2. OR find them on Amazon! Might not be as inexpensive as Cleaner's Supply, but you'll have more convenient options on your order quantity.

- Hangers: Search for "18 inch wire shirt hangers" for a variety of quantities and options
- Pins: Hard to recommend any without seeing them in person -- anyone have good results with any pin brands available on Amazon? Singer sewing/craft pins can be decent.
