Missing my dad on Father’s Day. Gene Fowler was a creative, entertaining, and loving person; the king of DIY. He understood my passion for all things textile, as my mother shared that passion. Mom was an avid seamstress and quilter, who patiently taught me her sewing skills. Below, Dad is wearing a crazy-quilt sports coat he “commissioned” my mother to make.
