Every comment I see is "thrift stores are getting too expensive" and I get it — I really do. But the people mad about a $12 jacket at Goodwill are the same ones who just spent $7 on a coffee without blinking.

Thrift stores have rent.
They have employees. The ones attached to nonprofits are literally funding shelters and job programs with those price tags.

Does that mean every price makes sense?
No.
I've seen some wild ones.
But the idea that everything secondhand should cost $2 because it was donated is not how any of this works.

The real issue isn't that thrift stores got expensive.
It's that fast fashion trained us to think $8 for a brand new shirt was normal.
It wasn't.
You were just never the one paying the real cost.
