A little return to an old creative love. ✂️🎼

I created this shirt for a dear musical friend and composer to wear for a secret evening performance of one of his original works.

Having worked in costume and wardrobe design, it was such a pleasure to find myself creating a garment for a performer again. The design itself was intentionally straightforward and understated; a simple piece made specifically for the composer and the occasion.

The evening made it all the more special: an intimate venue, an extraordinarily talented operatic singer, and a remarkable pianist (who has performed at Carnegie Hall🤯), all coming together around an original composition.

There was something wonderful about seeing a piece I had made become a small part of a much larger artistic moment. I felt incredibly privileged not only to create the shirt for the performance, but to be invited to attend and experience the work alongside such a talented group of people.

Sometimes it feels good to return to the things you used to make simply because you loved making them. 🤍
