Hand update
I'm truly an overachiever, the dr is amazed at how well I'm bouncing back
He said truly these results are closer to 6 months not 6 weeks. I can stay out of the brace but expect some increased pain and soreness as the PT increases and use it if it's too fatigued. And I can lift up to 10 lbs. I think I'll see if I can sew this weekend. I need to be able to use a seam ripper comfortably before I try quilting. But yippee skippee I'm so happy!

I guess I need to heal faster. A customer came knocking on my door yesterday. She lost my number but remembered how to get to my house. I'm doing remarkably well. PT is going great but it is very achy from the range of motion exercises and massage. The massage does not feel good, it hurts but is necessary to prevent scar tissue and stimulate blood flow. Fine motor skills are not there yet so I can't operate a seam ripper, pins. Or needles but it's going well.

And the healing continues. Stitches came out yesterday, xrays show everything is healing well. I start PT Thursday.

Just a quick update. Surgery went well. Surprisingly there isn't much pain. Still some swelling because the dressing is too thick for the cold to get to the swelling. Tomorrow the surgical dressing will be removed and they'll make a removable cast. I have a surgical followup on the 1st to remove the stitches and find out more about PT.
On the upside my longarm is back home and I'm told it's working but don't imagine I'll get to try it out for awhile.

Progress. All the 9-patch squares are cut and bundled. Add the last 3 fabrics to enlarge a bit. It will ombre from pink to purple, at the middle it reverses back to pink. Need 94 fussy cut monkeys. That will be fun.
