I want to take a moment to introduce the reason behind this page—my wife, Shawna Jo.
Shawna is a fighter in every sense of the word. She was diagnosed with Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma on July 21, 2025, after nearly two years of unexplained medical issues and symptoms that we were searching for answers to. RMS is a rare and aggressive cancer that affects soft tissue and is more commonly seen in children than adults.
She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, facing the physical and emotional challenges that come with it—fatigue, pain, and the uncertainty that cancer brings. But through it all, she continues to push forward with incredible strength and determination.
I created this page not just to share her journey, but to connect with others going through RMS, to learn, support, and lift each other up. Over time, we will be sharing Shawna’s story here—what led up to her diagnosis, what treatment has been like, and everything in between.
No one should have to face this alone.
Shawna’s story is one of strength, resilience, and hope—and we’re grateful to have you here as part of this community 💛
