“ALL GOOD THINGS MUST
COME TO AN END.”

I’m so sad to be writing this post but my title gives it away.
After being closed for over four months this spring & early summer my sales have not been good.
Blame it on the virus; my location or my failure to advertise, who knows; maybe all three.
Coronavirus has taken its toll on small businesses & I too will be closing my doors the end of November.
This ugly virus has raised its rath for round two & possibly round three.
I had requested 60 days but Mr. Landlord wants me out in 30 days! Yikes!
This hasty move will work to your advantage with sales at huge discounts & help me to SHUT THE BACK DOOR!
We must preserve our past with cherished items filled with memories of their use. Customers have always remarked about “this & that” when seeing treasures from childhood.
I plan to continue to sell on Marketplace & Next Door with some special treasures I have tucked away. Right now I need a vacation & time to reflect about the fun I’ve had & the people I’ve met in my short business career.

I reopened on July 12th after being closed for over four months.
I’ve come a long way! New photos of The Nest taken yesterday at closing!
It has been wonderful to see all my friends & loyal customers again. Truly missed talking & catching up with everyone’s limited world & learning that everyone is well & kicking!
Lots of wonderful new things to look at, inspire & bring back fond memories of growing up in Indy!
Days open Thursday 10 to 3. Friday & Saturday 10 to 4. And Sunday 10 to 3.

My second week as a small business owner!
After my first opening days nothing could possibly get worse.
I had no problem with opening, setting up the till (business jargon) & completing some substantial sales from some very complimentary collectors. I was really enjoying my customers & feeling very confident & proud.
Come closing Mac had to knock me down a notch & remind me who was really in charge! It wanted me to jump through hoops, prove who the heck I thought I was. To get back to closing out for the day it put me through hell & I spoke unkindly & muttered to it unkind words!
Tomorrow is another day & I have no intention to even pretend like I know what I’m doing. But I’m one day closer than I was a week ago.
