Picked up 2 of these today. They are not terribly expensive but I think they are very pretty. I Franken-lamped this one so it had all the crystals and I ordered 4 replacement crystals for the other lamp.

Today I got a return request on this package of socks. They were an open package but all socks were there and I took an offer of $10. Buyer stated “just didn’t like them.” Ok, that’s fair. He was honest. Didn’t try to open a false “item not as described” claim. Just stated he didn’t like them. However, the buyer is in California. Because this is just a “changed my mind” case, he’s going to end up paying for shipping. He paid $8 to ship them one way. I want to message him and say “dude, you can’t find someone who likes them? Family? Friend? Marketplace?” It seems crazy to me to return a $10 item and pay $8 each way to do it! Not everybody’s math is mathin’!

I realize I’ve never shown pics of our booths in southern Indiana. Are the Louisville booths my favorite? A resounding yes. They are curated and we source all over for them. However, when we acquire a storage unit, we sort things into categories: eBay, Marketplace, Louisville booths, Indiana booths and donate. The things that go to Indiana are non vintage/antique furniture, sporting goods, bikes, everyday household items, clothes, toys, etc. High end collectible toys, jewelry, and clothing go online. The Indiana booths fill a nice gap between what would sell online and what would be donated. We typically make $300-800 a month there after paying our rent. The items we put there have a very low cost to us because so much comes from storage units or bulk buys. One thing that I’ve learned about reselling is that things sell differently in different venues. Having this venue has been beneficial to us.

Today I told Pat today that I needed a quilt for one of our booths and this afternoon one fell into my lap. I LOVE this one! Hand embroidered and all. ❤️

My favorite piece in this booth was a large mirrored/brass shadowbox. It sold so we went with some 90’s art on that wall.

Reminder of why it’s important to keep listing and not let things accumulate. I bought this a couple years ago. I know I spent under $5 for it. The double A batteries I tried to put in were too big. Fast forward a couple years, I googled and found out that vintage double A batteries were a little smaller than most produced today. It was suggested to buy Amazon brand batteries. I did and it worked. Listed this thing and sold it within a couple weeks. Tonight, it’s headed to Australia to make some Trekkie happy!

So I’m drinking coffee and scanning the storage units for sale when I come across this one. It’s 9 days out and at $170. There are several “designer purses” shown. I don’t see a ton else. I’m hoping whoever is bidding on it is bidding on something other than the “designer purses.” I can’t see the other ones well enough but, if they are anything like this LV, it’s not a good sign! There is a washer and dryer in there so maybe that’s what they are after.
Side note:appliances are my own personal hell and I will give them away free on Marketplace if that means I don’t have to move them!

Update: Julie’s off to Oklahoma!

Pat looked at me like I was crazy when I brought this home! These vintage pinup auto ad clocks sell well. I can’t help but wonder what the heck Julie is up to now? Binging on Oreos while wearing sweats? Working in an office? Married well and going to the gym everyday? 🤷🏻‍♀️

We got a TON of stuff today. Lots of great Christmas stuff to fill our booths this year. There was a Christmas in July event this weekend at our booth in Louisville. The one thing it showed us was that we are going to have to bring it for Christmas. Sales were great and the store was hopping.
These are my top favorite things we got today.
1. Davidson's Yellow Pearline Glass Serving Dish. I love anything that glows.
2. Vintage Thomas The Train toy box. These sell for really good money.
3. Beatles Lava Lamp.

Honorable mention to some other uranium glass we got.
