With all the holiday excitement happening downtown and snowy weather impacting last weekend’s Small Business Saturday, ICDD is extending the celebration and inviting everyone out for Small Business Saturday 2.0 this Saturday, December 6.

To support local businesses, the City of Iowa City is offering FREE PARKING in all downtown ramps this Saturday, along with its Fare Free Transit program, making it easier for residents and visitors to shop, dine, and explore.

With a walkable mix of locally owned boutiques, gift shops, restaurants, and makers, you can enjoy the convenience of shopping small, skip the crowds at big box stores, and walk out with one-of-a-kind gifts in hand. Plus, there are tons of shopping opportunities this weekend with the Downtown Holiday Pop-Up Market, Holiday Retail Open House, the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation Arts & Crafts Bazaar, Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department Holiday Market, and the Eastside Artists Annual Show.

We encourage you to come out, visit downtown, and continue supporting your favorite businesses that make our downtown thrive. To us, every day is Small Business Saturday!

We are excited to announce The Hawk Spot will have a pop up location in Downtown Iowa City for holiday shopping! From Black Friday through Christmas we will have a store at 124 S.
