A cowgirl story doesn’t always begin in the saddle. Sometimes, it begins with a line. A seam. A silhouette. And this week, we’re following the threads of Lela’s life and work all the way to Fort Worth, Texas, where she’ll be inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame!
Lela is a true Texas original who made her name in New York without ever leaving her roots behind and she’s joining a remarkable roster of trailblazing women whose lives and careers embody the pioneering spirit of the American West. From the runway to the ranch, Lela has always forged her own path, bringing the Western values of craftsmanship, individuality, tradition, and hospitality to the world of high fashion.
On November 5 and 6, we’ll be celebrating her induction with a full slate of festivities in Fort Worth, home of the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame. Hats off to Lela.
