If you’re wondering… YES. 😂 Now that these are finished, I deeply regret letting them go!

These stones were incredible. ❤️ Each one was chosen during Ring Fling, where customers came into the shop, picked their favorite stone, and trusted me to create a minimalist sterling setting in their size. I can’t wait for the owners to see them in person!

The shop will be open this weekend:
✨ Friday 10 AM–6 PM
✨ Saturday 10 AM–2 PM

Also… summer is winding down, and every year I close the shop from the beginning of August until after Labor Day.

I will, however, be at the Art & Music Festival on August 22 at the Jackson Civic Center, and I’ll be bringing my very first turquoise pieces for fall. I can’t wait to share them with you!

Last April, Erica and I made a special trip over to Seaham to finalize ideas for Seascape.

One morning, while we were out beachcombing, I suddenly heard a voice echoing down the shoreline…

“Emily! Emily! Emily! Oh my gosh, Emily!” 🤣

I looked up to see Erica hurrying toward me with both mittens clasped tightly together. I knew she’d found something special…

When she finally opened her hands, I could hardly believe it.

Finding one feels a little like discovering buried treasure. After years of being shaped by the sea, these frosted orbs are among the most magical things a beach can give back.

Together, Erica of Amity Yoga by Erica and I have created the most dreamy adventure for you along the North Sea shoreline. I’ve been collecting meaningful quotes for most of my life.

Long before I started making paper, I was tucking away words that brought comfort, hope, and encouragement. I suppose it was only natural that when I began making handmade paper, my first instinct was to give those words a place to live.

These are some of my favorite quotes, letterpressed onto handmade paper…many made with real pressed flowers ❤️ thanks, Dad, for the last one.

They’ve all been restocked for the shop this coming weekend! Which one is your favorite?

This week I made some fun confetti paper, and turned it into letterpressed birthday cards! They’re such a joyful addition to the collection!

The shop is open 10–6 today (Friday) and 10–2 tomorrow (Saturday) at 208 S. High St. in Jackson, MO!

I’ve also tucked a few mini confetti birthday cards into Juneberry , if you’re over there browsing plants and treasures!

Thank you to everyone who celebrated the debut of The Sunday Paper!

I never feel more alive than when I’m creating something new. Sharing my love of paper this weekend - the depth of words, the beauty of correspondence, and the quiet magic of art - was such a joy!

Today I’m back at the jewelry bench, but I paused for a bit to carve this design into a piece of linoleum. I call it Connection.

It represents what I felt all weekend: the way paper carries words, thoughts, memories, and emotions between us. It crosses distances, bridges differences, and reminds us that we are not as separate as we sometimes feel.

I’ll have a small collection of Connection lino prints on handmade paper in the shop next weekend, in case they speak to you, too. ❤️
