What a pivotal and exciting moment in the story of B&B.
The Harbour Skort started off as an idea.
As an active woman always wearing skorts, I (Katie) was asking myself the question “Why has no one made a beautiful everyday skort out of swim material?” I was thinking “I want something I can wear to the clubhouse and the pool” and I envisioned it a rainbow of colors with matching accessories.
The pattern for the skort was drawn by hand, by me.
It was never drop-shipped or white-labeled.
The skort, in a way, became an extension of me. I became intimately familiar with pattern paper, size adjustments, and seam allowances.
After wearing the skort for a year, I went back to the table - just kidding, the floor! - and made even more fit improvements.
It’s a piece I proudly wear out anywhere from the driving range to brunch. (Some of you may have seen our story recently of me hitting balls for one of the first times lol!)
And as the number of women golfers grows nationally, we are so excited to be able to serve you with our beautiful, practical skorts.
We couldn’t think of a better way to honor the functionality of our skorts than a golf pro shop.
