A few weeks back I got to intro Paul McCartney on a Today Show promo…this time it’s Mick Jagger!!!

Little remembered fact; the Stones did history’s first ever “Pay Per View” concert in December of 1981.

I was 11 years old and I remember driving 45 minutes to my grandma’s house on the south side of Chicago to watch it with one of my crazy uncles who spent a week’s electrician salary on the concert that generated 5 million of the the 50 plus million they made on that leg of the American Tattoo You tour.

Needless to say…I bought an electric guitar not too long after that show and my band played “Miss You,” at my high school battle of the bands. Thanks Mick for getting me hooked. “I know it’s only rock and roll…but I like it.”
