There is something about a little girl and her daddy. Some may know her story and some may not.
On February 12th I found out I was pregnant with Blayklee and thought, well I might as well wait to share with Kyle on Valentines Day! On February 13th I found out he would be deploying. When he told me, I started crying... legit alligator tears. I’m sure he thought... that didn’t go over well! Blame it on the emotions though! At that point, I knew I had to start preparing mentally to deliver this little beauty by myself. It was tough! It wasn’t easy. We had a lot of trials and tribulations along the way until daddy came home. But this little girl finally got to meet her daddy at 3 months old!!!
Fast forward to this picture and it’s like they never skipped a beat. This little girl adores her dad. She loves cuddling with him. She hates when he leaves and yells with excitement when he arrives home. These two share a bond that is indescribable. This is the cuteness I get to look at all because daddy didn’t grab milk from the store the other day! She couldn’t let him go alone. So HE got her dressed and put a bow in her hair! These two mean the world to me and I love watching their relationship blossom.

Post hubby’s surgery, has been a little crazy!! Do you ever just need 5 minutes to yourself?
No husband.
No kids.
No dogs.
Just the outdoors and a little and where it’s just you and your thoughts?!

That’s just what I needed today. Being all those “titles” wife, mom, business owner, sister, friend etc. can sometimes become a lot. So today I give you permission to take that 5 minute break and recoup!!

🐰Perception vs Reality🐰
Today we had an amazing day!!It always seems to be one of those days doing all the things, and making sure everything is perfect. Here is a glimpse into my world while trying to snap a couple photos! 🤣 Don’t worry, the man child likes to add a couple sly comments too. Lol- Like,”Don’t worry Bodee, I don’t like to take pictures either but the sooner we smile and cooperate with mom, the sooner we will be done!” I mean, he’s not wrong! 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope y’all had a blessed and wonderful Easter!

Let the games begin!!!
I am so excited for Bodee’s first season of and he is so excited as well!!! My sweet boy asks to go to practice every day and the fields are where I love to be, so of course we go. I can’t wait to see him grow as an athlete!!

Y’all!!!!! Remember the make up post? Well here is a follow with new supplies used!!! You guessed it. Markers make for really good eye shadow pallets and blush!! I’m sure it makes for a really good exfoliate as well when you have to scrub it off!! This girl is so wild, and free spirited. I love watching every minute of her growing!!

You know how they see your kids watch everything they do. This one really, truly does.

I have my own vanity, and I noticed Blayklee was always getting into my makeup and getting ready like mommy!! I can’t blame the girl. 😜 So mommy did what mommy’s do best and created Blayklee her own vanity and got her FAKE makeup for her birthday. Key word there... FAKE!! (It was getting a little messy and expensive having makeup ruined!) So now this little beauty gets ready every day, just like mommy! Here is the best part. If I’m getting ready she goes and grabs her vanity chair and comes and sits by me! We get ready together. She loves it, but honestly I always wanted to be a mom to a little girl and this is a dream come true.
I know I am her biggest example!! I know this little girl is always watching. So while I couldn’t put makeup on because I am on of my microblading, we took a photo shoot. This little lovebug thought I was getting ready but loved the opportunity to take a pic because we don’t pass a good picture up either!!

Thank you 🙏🏼 to everyone for all your kind words yesterday. I’ll be honest, I cried 😭 a lot more than I expected to! Anyone who has been through loss knows you never stop grieving. You learn how to make it through each day. Some days are better than others! Every year, for the last 3️⃣ years, I have gone to the beach and let off balloons 🎈 in remembrance of my momma. The beach 🏖 is my happy place. It is so therapeutic to do this at. The sound of the waves 🌊 crashing, the search of seashells 🐚 and the searching of shark 🦈 teeth is what my family does after we remember the amazing woman my mom was! I love you 🤟🏼 today, tomorrow, and forever momma! 🐞

It’s so hard to put into words...3 years ago today she walked to the Kingdom of Heaven. This iconic picture means so much to me. What most don’t know is when I delivered Blayklee with my husband deployed, I was in the NICU with her. Without hesitation my mom stepped up to the plate for me and kept Bodee. They got to spend so much time together while mommy was taking care of sissy bug. I will treasure that forever! While I was at the hospital one day with Blayk, she took him to the park!!! In this picture, she is looking at him. Not only is that smile on my moms face the way she looked at my kids, but everybody. It didn’t matter if you were family or a friend, she would talk or pass a smile to anyone in her path. She lived life to the fullest and I miss her every. Damn. Day! My only regret is not saying thank you to her more. I could never thank her enough for all she has done for me, and all she has taught me! Mommy, I love and miss you today, tomorrow, and forever! Through many years today I will celebrate you and the beauty life you lived. Happy 3rd birthday in heaven Nani bug!! 🐞

You know those stares you get when you are in car pick up line because you’re still in your robe, hairs a mess, and feel like you can’t get your life together? That’s today. I’m so congested and by the time I made it downstairs it was already time to pick up my son from school!!! So today, we are just getting by. AND THATS OKAY! Because right now I am going to and take it all in!

A rainbow is a promise
Of sunshine after rain.
Of calm after storms.
Of joy after sadness.
Of peace after pain.
Of love after loss.
Let me be vulnerable for a second! I am so close to the anniversary of my moms passing. When you lose your best friend. The one who raised you. The one who guided and supported you. The one who was your biggest cheerleader. You tend to learn a lot about yourself. You learn how to navigate these rocky roads without them. The roads you never thought you would walk alone. It’s not easy! I can reassure though, each and every one of you who are struggling with loss, pain, or sadness, you are STRONG and you WILL make it through. You will make it through those rocky roads of life! You will have hard nights and emotional days, but a day only last 24 hours. When you get to the other side, you will see the rainbow!
