Our time at was nothing short of amazing. Of course, there are lots of things being said about the festival online right now, but we are choosing not to engage in that discourse. So, when we say we had a great time, we really did. We understand that some people were impacted by negative experiences and our hearts truly go out to them. This is not to take away from those unfortunate situations, but share our own experiences as a reflection of what a vastly different time can be had at each event.
We have heard "the forest provides" many times over the years and always seemed to resonate with that sentiment, but we honestly never felt it as tangibly as this year ⚡️🌲 💝
On Friday afternoon, I lost our art binder filled with at least a dozen of our one-of-a-kind Butterfly & Moth pendants, along with a handful of pairs of EarWings. I was walking around group camping and must have set it down at a random camp, somehow completely forgetting it in the heat of the day. I promptly made a post in the Facebook group, hoping that someone from whatever camp I left it in would see it and become alerted to my search. Realizing I had been mistakenly forgetting to include some contact info in the binder, I started to feel less hopeful about its eventual return. Regardless, the Facebook post started blowing up. I asked for support from friends, and my friends really showed up & out 🥹🙏
The post had gotten almost 1k likes overnight! No leads toward my art, but all the love & support I was being shown really just blew me away. It's hard to even put into words how much it means to me to feel so uplifted by my community. It was more than I could have ever hoped for. I could have lost that binder for eternity, but this experience would still be worth more to me than all the art that was inside.
In a crazy turn of events, I still ended up getting the binder back. I checked Lost & Found at the end of the weekend and some kind, anonymous soul had returned it. No note, no nothing. Just all of our art, exactly as I had left it. This has been such a humbling experience & we are both incredibly grateful. {Cont. in comments}
