I was born in Orangeburg, SC and over the years ended up in PA where I owned my own Embroidery & Silk Screening store; from 1998-2007. In 2007 I closed the business and returned to school for Licensed Practical Nursing. Graduated and began work as a LPN December 2008. December 2009 all that came to an end. Prior to and during that time, for about 12 years I was a volunteer EMT and in December 2009

I was responding to a call I had been dispatched to and I am told I hit a patch of black ice and spun off the road, hitting a tree and sustaining a traumatic brain injury. Fortunately I don't remember a thing about it. I have not been able to return to nursing since that time. August 2012 I moved back to my southern roots to be here with family. Where I have such an amazing support team, from family and all the friends I have made at FBC Jax. God has had amazing opportunity here to further healing in such an amazing way. In this new season of life, I am being drawn back to embroidery. I lost my creativeness after the accident and it has finally shown signs of returning...Praise God.
