This week I toured Best of Janesville Vintage Mall looking for items that might appeal to male shoppers. Pick up a store map at the checkout and follow along. The tour begins in the southwest room, which has the highest concentration of guy stuff, IMO. Booth 96 is one of ours. Mark Bromley has a bookshelf with duck decoys, a vintage ice fishing rod, trains, and cast iron toys. Right across the aisle is booth 94, The Licorice Guy. Are you one? 🙂
Head towards the windows. Last booth on the left, 98, has a variety of guy stuff including an erector set! They don't make them like that anymore! Behind you, in the SW corner of the building is booth 84, with a cast iron Nutcracker.
Walking along the east-west aisle, turn left at the center aisle and look for booth 102 which has these nice Carhartt overalls.
Return to the E-W aisle and wave at the clerk as you head past. In the big southeast room, you will find can coozies (didnt get the booth #) and by the far windows in booth 15, a crate full of maps-- supper clubs, parks, etc., suitable for framing.
Okay, now head to the northwest section of the store. In booth 59, you will see a display of toys. Keep heading west to booth 63. Putting the fab in metal fabrication, Strommen Metal Fabrication's booth SCREAMS guy. Especially the bed! And the photographs in the next booth 64, are amazing!
And I totally forgot to get a pic, but booth 77 (a shelf down a hallway near where the tour started) has party type murder mystery sets. We bought one for a family vacation and loved it!
Whew! And I only scratched the surface! Guys! Get in here!
