Current state: 80lbs down from where I started.
I wanted to aim for strength over physique as I wanted to tour Scotland and lift stones of strength. There are no weight classes in that, just heavy stones to test manhood. I got to 298lbs. I lifted stones, I had an incredible trip, met some of the nicest people you will ever know. .grahame.75 , I lifted the Inver Stone before the incredible June passed away. Sat in her house with tea. Spoke to her for a while and signed the book.
I always said I didn't care what I weighed I just wanted to be strong, but I didn't want to be over 300lbs. So 298 on the scale was a stopping point.
Changed my eating, my entire plan, changed my workouts. I already worked out 5-6 days a week, but now I was aiming for weighloss not power.
I lost 80lbs and still going. Now my goal is both. I want to have tons of strength and power at a lower weight. So I guess lb for lb strength.
My wife did the same plan as me and lost an INCREDIBLE 70lbs.
It was a out resetting a broke metabolism and getting back to having a body that knew how to digest and send all the nutrients where they needed to go.
Now...this is not eating for peak performance. That is different. This was getting to a healthy physique then fueling for performance after a much needed drop in body fat.
My journey is not over, but I wanted to share the progress photo as the journey is just as, if not more, important than the result.
I will be writing all of this in a book, meal plan workouts, adjustments, recipes. By the time I finish that I may have lost more body fat. It's easier to have people interested in your ideas if you do it yourself and prove it works. So...LOOK THE PART!
