Happy Juneteenth everyone! I am using my day off of work to label and tag a number of finished items to show at The Best Dam Art Fair hosted by the this Saturday from 10:00am-4:00pm on Milwaukee and MainStreets in downtown. Stop out and say “Hello”. This is my hometown art fair. It’s small and cozy but worth the time if you are available tomorrow!

I think giving back is important piece of being an artist. This weekend I took some time to dress a loom for a 96-year-old woman that I’ve become friends with. She can no longer see to dress the loom so I do it for her. Then she weaves the fabric as part of her exercise each day. I think it’s amazing that she is still Weaving and I look forward to our chats whenever I drop the Loom off.

Art show season is just starting to heat up for the summer. I am busy weaving as much inventory as possible before the middle of June when my next show, The Best Dam Art Fair in Jefferson, WI kicks off my summer. The show is in Downtown Jefferson on Main Street and is sponsored by the Jefferson Main Street Association on June 20th from 10:00am-4:00pm.
