Dedicated to reselling and reworking vintage and second-hand clothing to encourage recycling within the fashion Industry. Many do not realize the negative affects the Fashion Industry and Fast Fashion has on the environment. "America's throw away 82 pounds of textile waste each year, which adds up to 11 million tons for the country alone." As a result, textile waste is a major problem in our landf

ills. Why buy new clothes and support an industry that has such negative effects not only on the environment (textile waste, pollution from factories, etc.), but on factory workers and children who are forced into child labor as well. After being exposed to the negative affects the Fashion industry has on the environment amongst other things, I discovered a newfound love for second-hand. In order to encourage that buying second-hand can be fun, trendy, and better for the environment, Porch Finds was founded.
