Want peace? God gives us a clear picture of how to get it, and it’s so simple — but so much harder than we’d like. Eight things to focus on: what’s true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, praiseworthy. Take a minute and think through each one in your own life right now. It’s easy to waste so much time fixated on the evil in the world, but if we stay stuck there, God can’t bless us with the peace He’s already instructed us to receive. Peace isn’t something we wait for — it’s something we choose to focus our way into.
