One year ago today, I created The Real Reel. And honestly, I had no idea where this little idea would take me.
It would be 7.5 months before I booked my very first wedding, and now, just 4.5 months after that first wedding, I’ve had the honor of capturing 5 weddings, with 8 more already on the calendar — and inquiries are still coming in. 🥹
So today, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to every bride who has trusted me to be there on one of the biggest days of her life. Because while it may be a work day for me, it’s the best day of someone else’s life — and I never want to take that for granted.
I do work a full-time M–F job, but I’ve always had a side hustle or creative project of some kind. I’ve tried photography. I once owned my own online boutique. I’ve loved each chapter for different reasons, but it wasn’t until I found wedding content creation that I finally felt completely confident, creatively fulfilled, and like I had found what I was meant to do.
Getting to be behind the scenes, capturing the little moments, the laughs, the happy tears, the chaos, and everything in between — and then giving my couples those memories back within 24 hours — is something I’m incredibly grateful for.
To every bride who has booked me, recommended me, shared my work, followed along, or simply cheered me on: thank you. You are the reason The Real Reel is what it is today. 🥰
