🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men, women, and K-9 heroes who have served our country with courage and loyalty. ❤️🐾

Did you know? The U.S. Army officially established the K-9 Corps on March 13, 1942 during World War II — but dogs have served alongside military forces for centuries before that. From carrying messages and detecting danger to protecting troops in combat, these incredible dogs have long been faithful partners in service.

Today, the U.S. military utilizes approximately 1,600–2,500 active-duty Military Working Dogs. Breeds like the Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, and Dutch Shepherd are especially valued for their speed, intelligence, bravery, and stamina. 🐕🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, we remember all heroes — both two-legged and four-legged — who made the ultimate sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙
