Ok I have to post this. After being contacted by someone via Facebook messenger. Asking for a quote on a shirt that they needed in two days. We asked for the would be customer to provide contact billing information. Cell phone, address, and email.
We are a proffessional print shop and conduct all pricing and proof images via email. We have a software system that keeps track of all quotes, jobs, approvals, and payments. Don't get me wrong facebook is a good place for getting customers and advertisements out. But, conducting full blown business via Facebook. Just seems wrong. We have been in Business for 16 years and never have I faced being blocked for asking for contact information before. I get that some people are stuck in a wolrd of Facebook only information highway.
Getting a quick quote for a quick small job seems simple and it is. Our system provides the best of everything. Full proof image, best pricing, with constant communications via email, providing approval link, payment link and production completion. This system provides automation emails only dealing with their order. Please, be considerate and consider our time as valuable as yours.
While awaiting for her contact information, I created the artwork for her requested print design. To get a message back "I am not sending that information for just a quote." Then proceeded to block us.
