The new year doesn’t have to include buying new jeans! If you don’t want to lose your favorite pair to inner thigh wear, this is the offer for you!

I can repair this damage by replacing the worn fabric entirely. It’s more work than a patch, but the result is a stronger, more comfortable repair that feels close to brand-new jeans. The repair may be visible depending on how good of a color match we can find, but it’s usually hidden while wearing.

New year, old jeans special: $20/pair (50% off!)

Does anyone else occasionally bite off more than you intended with a craft project? 😅 I thought recovering this old lawn chair would be a quick, easy, and cheap project. It turned out to be none of those things 🤷‍♀️😅

Oh well, I’m still pretty chuffed with the results. And, I got a useable chair without having to throw the old one away! 💜🖖

Here it is, my favorite denim jacket upcycle so far! 💜

Purple has always been my favorite color, so when I found this lovely floral shirt, I knew I had to use it. I added the original piping to the collar, then turned my favorite parts of the floral print into reverse appliqué patches scattered around the jacket. The moment of cutting away the top layer to reveal the pattern underneath is always the best part! 🌸✂️

What do you think, is this your favorite, too? I’d love to hear! 💜🖖

The next piece in my denim jacket series! 😋

I started with the cutest pink stripes and roses western shirt and wanted to keep as many of those classic details as possible. I transferred the whole yoke and the front pockets. Y’all know I’m a sucker for a good pocket! And yes, all the pockets are still fully functional… there are even two hidden ones behind the snap pockets. 😂

What do you think? Cute or crazy?

I’ve got one more (my favorite!) coming up. Should I keep going with more jackets, or switch gears to something new? What would you love to see me try next?

Another denim jacket upcycle!

This one started as a men’s XL jacket and a pullover hoodie. I loved the blue tie-dye look, so I added a zipper, swapped the sleeves, and attached the hoodie front and hood. All the original pockets still work, but now it’s way cozier (and dare I say maybe even cooler 😎)

I was planning to appliqué some fish on the back but haven’t found the right ones yet. What do you think? Is it finished as is, or should I keep looking? 🐟🤔

I’ve been wanting to do some denim jacket upcycles. Here is one where I added some adorable floral accents to an already cute denim jacket 😍💐

It’s a women’s medium ‘Live a Little’ brand dark denim jacket that has lots of cool buttons. I added floral fabric from a cotton shirt to the front, back, and collar, and I added a little ruffle on the sleeves.

What do you think? Is the ruffle on the sleeves too much? Should I have added the accents elsewhere? What cool upcycled denim jacket inspirations have you seen? I’d love to hear your ideas! 💜🖖

A little moment of inspiration! 🦋
The other day, a butterfly landed right on Gryph’s collar, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how sweet it looked! So I decided to make him a little butterfly of his own to keep there whenever he wants. 💙🐶

This is my first prototype, the next one will definitely be a bit smaller, but I love the idea so far. I love that it’s upcycled from a shirt and a pair of jeans. What do you think? Should I make more?

Here’s another blanket upcycle. Who can fault a girl for wanting to be warm? 🤷🏽‍♀️😋

This one was pretty straightforward, but I think the simplicity it something of the beauty of it. It doesn’t have side seams, just the center back one and the front one where the fringe is. The fringe is hiding a cute front slit that lets a little air in and helps with how warm it is.

Did I mention it’s plenty warm? 😅 I made it for an outdoor winter event, and it definitely served the purpose 😅👍🏽

Here’s another fun one! This started out as a blanket, but it just needed to be a robe!

It’s got a belt and belt loops, a high low hem with a lot of flare, and pretty full sleeves. I thought someone might find it interesting to see my original sketch and some of the math I did for the pattern pieces alongside the finished product. Please dont judge my drawing skills 😅😂

I originally wanted to do really full sleeves, but I was afraid of them getting in the way. So, when it worked out that the blanket wasn’t big enough to cut the sleeves I had originally imagined, I took it as a sign that it didn’t need them after all.

As it was, I had to cut one of the sleeves with the texture going up and down the sleeve and the other with it going crosswise. But, I kind of think that adds to its overall whimsy ☺️ what do you think?
