Hey, it's Hollis, who is not Annissa. Hollis is the owner and one of the founders of Bustin' Out Boutique. She has been obsessed with bras since she discovered box stores had been lying to her and she was in fact not a 38DD from age 14-22. When she discovered that she was in fact a 34GG at the time way back in 2012, it changed her life. She had been talking about opening a bra store in town since 2010 when she was still a student at UAS (she even took a small business management class). But once she learned how bras should fit, she realized she couldn't be the only one struggling with bras. She dove deep and went into research mode about bra styles, fit, brands and at the time was ordering bras from shops in the UK because a lot of US based bra fit stores didn't have online stores back then. She got tired of not being able to try bras on before buying them, and with the aid of Lindsey Burnet (the other founder of the shop) the shop opened in December of 2014.

I addition to being your friendly neighborhood bra expert, Hollis is also an artist, surface designer, and teaches watercolor painting on occasion. She is obsessed with the fog here in Juneau, AK, absolutely loves music with funny themes and odd lyrics, very into house and techno music, 90's alternative and bardcore. She also loves reading, camping, hiking and cooking, video games when she has a moment, and sewing.

She works diligently to make sure we have a large variety of bra styles and clothing sizes in the store and is always on the hunt for bra and clothing companies that treat their sewists and factory workers well

Have you come in the shop and been like, "Hey...that's not Hollis..." well meet Annissa, who is definitely not Hollis.

Annissa has been working at Bustin' Out for about a year now and is rocking it! She is a great, funny and empathetic person, who enjoys some 90's and early 2000's alternative music, occasional techo, and Abba. Quick to help you find what you need, and has become an exceptional bra fitter who doesn't mind when I geek out about technical parts of bras from fabric styles to stitches per inch. She helps keep the shop super organized and looking great, has been bringing window display visions to life and has thoughtful feedback on what you all have been asking for and how we can bring those items into the shop. She's been an incredible addition to the shop and is full of great ideas and knowledge to help you when I'm not there!
