So many of us business owners focus on growth.. but what does that growth look like for you?
More events? A brick and mortar? A bigger inventory? More sales? (That one is a no brainer) When is enough enough?
But what if the growth you thought you wanted causes a deficit in other areas and aspects of your life? What if the growth you were chasing causes you to forget about stopping to smell the flowers of life 😩
That’s what happened to me. I thought I wanted more floor space, more events on my calendar, a massive inventory. And I DID grow! I gained more space to peddle goods, I’ve had years with my whole summer full of markets. Money was GOOD. But it turns out time with my loved ones and making more time for the things I enjoy outside of vintage is more valuable to me than the money that was coming in.
I’m excited to say that I am reeling it in a bit and shrinking down to one booth at Not So Shabby Marketplace, focusing on INTENTION. I aim to have a more intentional inventory, by refining what items I bring to y’all. My passion for saving goods and clothing from the landfill and providing these things a second chance at life is soooo rewarding. But I also want to lean into my artist background and create… 💭
I’ve been working hard to consolidate my two booths and have been funneling lots of vintage heavy hitters into my booth there. Swing in sometime soon to see the changes!
And obviiii I’ve been busy curating, pricing, and building for my FAVORITE market The Found Cottage Mercantile. I cannot wait to show yall what I have been up to for that. Soooo many good items headed with me to that market. Remember, INTENTION.. and I intend to make it my best showing yet ❤️🔥
So here’s to the business owners that refine, redefine, move with intention, and change how they view growth. I hear you, I see you, and I feel you. We got this 🤜🏾🤛🏾
