HELLO! My name is Erin and this is my gorgeous daughter, Alexis (Lexi). A few years ago, Alexis was diagnosed with Alpha-Gal Syndrome. As time went on, her allergy progressed and she began reacting to every day products such as lotion, make-up, cleaning products and hair care products.
As a Registered Nurse, I knew I needed to grow my knowledge base on the allergy. I read every medical/scientific paper I could get my hands on (which were not many). I then obtained certifications in Homeopathy and Herbal Medicine so I could safely concoct salves, lotions, soaps and laundry products that were safe for Alexis (and the numerous friends and relatives in our small community).
In December of 2025 Alexis and I formed The Vintage Remedy, LLC to advocate, spread awareness and provide safe alternatives to every day living. We are so proud to be Missouri’s first Alpha-Gal Safe business. Every product we make has been tested by Alpha-Gal positive people. Additionally we tested our products to ensure they were safe for all ages because sadly, the reality is, this allergy knows no age.
In May of this year, I was diagnosed with Alpha-Gal Syndrome. While my symptoms and reactions are so different than my daughters, we both react to soaps, lotions and Medicines.
Our best seller has been our Hunters Choice Spray, which is a bug and tick spray that actually works AND smells good.

While we may not have cute/fancy labeling, marketing or a beautiful website, our goal is to provide AGS safe products at the most affordable price, possible. This means the containers may not be the same and the labeling may look like a 3 year old created them. However, we know the product inside will speak for itself.
