One of the reasons I started The Real Life Edit is because I think so many women are starving for style inspiration that actually feels relatable.

Not just women with professional photographers, unlimited clothing budgets, or bodies that look the same as everyone elseā€™s.

Real women.

Women whose bodies have changed. Women who have carried babies. Women who are in the thick of motherhood. Women building careers. Women navigating new seasons. Women learning to dress the body they have today, not the one they had five or ten years ago.

The women in this carousel arenā€™t models. Theyā€™re not being paid to sell you anything.

Theyā€™re simply women getting dressed for their real lives.

And thatā€™s exactly why I think theyā€™re worth paying attention to.

Because style was never meant to be reserved for a certain size, age, budget, or season of life. Itā€™s for all of us.

So hereā€™s a little summer inspiration from women who are actually living it. Different bodies. Different lifestyles. Different closets.

A reminder that beautiful style exists in the everyday, and that the best outfit is often the one that makes you feel most like yourselfšŸ¤

a little online shopping ā€¦

so i know Iā€™m in the thick of motherhood right now - 3 under 4 is wild I donā€™t even have words for it. somehow the kiddos have given me grace this morning to enjoy hot coffee and write a couple pieces on here. i noticed the only kind of tanks in my closet were casual basic ones. and even though i donā€™t step out of my house much, i wanted a few tanks that were a step up from a basic. the necklines are amazing + when i chop my hair again iā€™ll love it even more. the textures are also fabulous. sorry to be boring with neutral colors but these are the most versatile with what is already in my closet. highly recommend these tanks - linking them in my story if youā€™re interested.

As for the flip flopsā€¦I donā€™t recommend. they hurt in between my toes like crazzzyyy. to bad cause they are cute.

as they say, life has been life-ing over here with us. the past few months have truly been a whirlwind.

āœ”ļø closed our small business boutique after 4 years
āœ”ļø had a baby (God sent us a miracle birth as my pregnancy was high risk)
āœ”ļø moved out of our first home + into our forever home - there are still boxes that need unpacked in every room

right now my real life is a sleep schedule that is nothing close to a schedule. cooking, cleaning, laundry load, playing - on repeat all day. this is the season iā€™m in + these photos remind me that there is so much beauty in our day to day lives. we just have to slow down and see itšŸ«¶

Itā€™s 3 a.m., Iā€™m sitting here pumping with baby Maverick asleep beside me, and I still canā€™t believe we welcomed him into the world this weekšŸ¤

Weā€™re settling in at home, figuring out life as a family of five, and Iā€™m recovering from my third C-section in 4 years. Itā€™s equal parts beautiful, exhausting, emotional, and full of gratitude.

And honestly, this season of life is exactly why The Real Life Edit exists.

Earlier this year, I made the difficult decision to close my boutique so I could be more present at home with my kids during this chapter.

After years of helping women shop, I realized something important:

Most women donā€™t need more clothes.

They need help styling the clothes they already own for their real lives.

I created this space to help women feel confident in what they wear, no matter what stage of life theyā€™re in.

A little styling reminder: you donā€™t need to buy an entirely new wardrobe for a tripšŸ¤

When we think of New Orleans, we usually think bright colors, bold prints, fun accessories, and outfits that feel a little extra. And while that can be so fun, it also doesnā€™t always make the most sense for our everyday closets - especially for those of us who naturally lean more neutral.

Instead of buying a bunch of colorful pieces you may only wear once, Iā€™d rather invest in 1-2 fun accessories or statement pieces that can be styled multiple ways throughout the trip.
