anywhere else! We are also busy developing awesome clothes for babies and children, which will be available in the future! In addition, we travel around the world and find incredible, unique treasures, such as jewelry, handbags and accessories that you cannot find anywhere else.

SEWING USING A SEWING MACHINE

My club members have asked for lessons using the sewing machine! So this month on the last Friday from 4-6 pm, .vargas.9883 and I are going to do just that!

We will get as many sewing machines as we can gather and let everyone have a try at using it with easy to follow lessons!

If you have a portable sewing machine, please bring it, it will mean that you will be at a your machine the entire time to learn!

I am excited to meet for our last club before we break for the summer! I will also be announcing exciting news for our fall session!

Introducing my Drum Carder and me making my first art batt!!! This instrument helps me make smooth batts for spinning after I’ve washed and dried wool I get from sheep!
I can make it plain or add pops of colors where ever I want.
This wool is a combination of Shetland and Merino.
I am so excited for people to be introduced to this and learn at my fiber arts classes this coming year! Now on to spinning this art batt into yarn. 🧶 🥰

This is my very first project. Trying not to be hard on myself as I notice the mistakes but remembering the day of small beginnings when I was a new knitter and didn’t know how to put two sticks together! 🥰 hugs to self! 😊😊😊

I had the most delightful day demonstrating embroidery on knits! 🧶😍

All the students learnt how the do the running stitch, back stitch, chain stitch and several others along with making different kinds of flowers on knits!🌹

As a bonus .vargas.9883 got her treadle sewing machine and showed us how to embroider on cloth as if you were painting with thread!

These clubs are delightful! Anyone interested can come! If you are bent towards fibre arts at all, you should take definitely take advantage of this! 😍

With More Than Threads

Drop off your kiddos for 2 hours of knitting lessons with us than threads! Find us on Instagram and Facebook as and More Than Threads.

Dates:

June 22nd- 26th
Time: 11am- 1 pm

Who is this for:
Beginner knitters and people who already know how to knit but need or want guidance and help to start something new!

Ages:
Appropriate for 8 and up! Adults can also join!

Multi members family discount:
Two members of the family pay in full and the third will be half off!

Venue:
Same building as The River Coffee Company
1275 highway 2 W
Kalispell, Mt 59901

Cost:
$130
No returns once paid.
We are sorry but cannot make up classes if sick or absent.

Food:
No food provided. You can bring a snack and drink if needed.

Materials:
Knitting needles, one ball of yarn and pattern, provided.
Additional tools like sewing needles stuffing if necessary are all provided. Just bring yourself!

Agenda:
Option 1: We will make a small knitted square, like a wash cloth.

If time allows we can shape, stuff and embroider it. ( no added cost for this, it’s a bonus if they are fast learners!)

Option2: A Headband

Option 3: A Hair Bow

Students who already know how to knit can increase their knitting skills or learn a new stitch pattern and make something completely different, based on their desire and curiosity.

By the end of the week they would have learned the knit stitch, how to start a project ( cast on) and complete a project ( cast off).

Maximum number of students - 12 students.

EMBROIDERY ON KNITS

This is a slight passion of mine and I wouldn’t say I am a master at it yet, but I keep exploring! This month I will be taking my students and whoever wants to attend on a journey of how do to embroider on knits with a demo and some knits for my students to try out embroidery for themselves!

It was a club to remember!

NEEDLE FELTING vargas.9883 blew ours minds with her wool paintings, on canvas and on wool jackets and coats!
This time the students really got into it! I think this club may have been the most student participating club of all! They all just wanted to needle felt! ❤️
I was stunned by Tracey’s work, as were all of us at the club. 😍
It is an asset to have you with us .vargas.9883 ! Thank you for being so willing to teach us and show us what’s possible with wool, color and desire for beauty and creativity!
