I know people are looking for more classes. Unfortunately I need to take a short sabbatical from teaching until spring. I hope to have some exciting new things on the schedule. I’m open to any suggestions or requests folks have for future classes as well as times and days of the week that work best. Feel free to comment below.

Log Cabin Block Technique Class

This block is a great way to use scraps. Tricky to get right without the right tools! I’ll be using the Tucker Trimmer III ruler. If you don’t have one, you’ll be able to try one out in class and purchase at a discount if you decide it’s for you.

Bring 2 1/2” strips from your stash or a jelly roll in equal amounts of lights and darks, complimentary colors, or contrasting colors—or, better yet, help yourself to some of my array of strips.

Wednesday, July 30, 1:00-4:00 at St. Anselm's church hall in Kampsville, I'll be teaching quarter square triangles, how to set quilt blocks on point, and how to cut setting triangles. We will make a table runner that can easily be turned into a quilt.

Calhoun County Senior Citizens Center 203 W MainSt, Hardin, IL 62047 -This is a beginner friendly class and pattern, although experienced quilters will enjoy the options this pattern offers.
-The pattern has several size options ranging from baby to king, and has five different layout options, so something for everyone!
-Fabric requirements and pre-cutting instructions will be provided upon registration for class.
**An additional class will be offered on Tuesday March 18 at 1:30 for anyone needing assistance in cutting. This will be an opportunity to try out different rotary cutters, mats and rulers for beginners. A nominal fee of $5.00 will be charged for this class.

Bring your machine very basic supplies and some fabric you would like to play with or use mine.
