Third Generation of Sewing
Seamstress located in Waimea big island. Please call for an appointment or walk ins welcome on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9-2. Please follow on my Instagram and page for daily updates.
I come from a generation where sewing was very important, My Grandmother was a Seamstress and so was my Mother. My grandmother passed away in 2015 and my mom is retired and just prefer to do sewing for herself. I have always been creative and sewing since I was about 9 years old, so its only natural that being a Seamstress and Sewing would be my passion for life. I have been to couple of colleges and one was fashion Design from the Art Institute of Seattle, from there I learned how to draft patterns and many other sewing techniques. I went to New York city after graduating the Art institute, but my dreams to work for a huge fashion company and make my name out of something can to a short stop.
My dad who had lung cancer only had few days to live, so I had to packed up my things and moved back home to help my Mother and disabled brothers. People would ask why didn't I just stay in NYC and help my family from there. Well, if you could only walk in my shoes for a day, then you would understand. I am not only enjoying my life with my career doing well and I still can pursue my passion, but I am also taking are of my own family, my husband, three young boys, my nephew, my brother who Quadriplegic and my Mother who is blind in one eye and is retired. I couldn't leave my family to deal with everything on their own, they would loose everything.
I am very blessed to have the best support system and to continue to do what I love most and most importantly I get to use to share with the community I live in and I am so grateful people still uses this type of service.
