I’m wearing fancinator I made from crinoline and vintage millinary feathers, the top was created by combining several vintage parts and pieces from different garments. I wore a lace slip underneath and layered a vintage petticoat for volume. I love to pull from my collection and put them together in new ways! 🖤🖤🖤

This Sunday is the last day to see the Little Black Dress exhibit The Museum of Kansas City partnered with Fashion Group International KC ! My goth black widow goddess has been a piece I have been wanted to create for some time. It’s created from a 1960’s cocktail dress deconstructed and put back together in a new way. It’s lined with crinoline to protect the fragile lace. The sleeves are created from yards and yards of vintage and antique ribbon and lace pleated by hand on the machine and then stitched in a circular pattern. The hat was made in a similar manner as well as the petticoat under the mermaid skirt. The sleeves and mermaid skirt zip off for storage, to protect the fragile fabrics and trims. I used fine couture finishing techniques as well as theatre construction methods to create all the pieces. I’m thrilled with the results, stay tuned more photos of this dress soon!!! Life with Loki, naps, many small bougie meals, lots of pet me requests. The best is that he is finding his comfortable spots, the couch drape is a favorite of mine. He makes me take breaks, he makes me want to come home and he is always happy to see me. My place is overfilled with everything from the store as we wait for the next version to come together. I’m taking this time to chill with my cool cat. 😻😻😻

Loki is quite the shop cat already! I did have to rearrange my schedule while he napped on the ironing board and navigate how I was going to stitch an invisible hem on a pair of pants while he was on my lap…worth it!

Meet Loki the love of my life! We are already infatuated with each other. 4 weeks ago, I realized that I needed a companion so I started looking for cats. I’m particular about my cats I like bougie, long hair with blue eyes that lay about and look gorgeous. I found Loki and thought about him for a week he was in St Louis. I emailed the shelter, he was still available but I was starting Wicked in a few days and could not travel until after the show was over. The shelter said they couldn’t hold him for that long but when I told them I was working Wicked they agreed to reserve him for me I was ecstatic! So I started to plan the trip to pick him up. I no longer drive on highways after a traumatic experience several years ago. I thought about driving with a friend, but then I thought what if I could get flights there and back on the same day?! So that’s what I did. Word of caution flying with a cat you have just met is not recommended. I was the longest 38 minutes of our lives. I begged the stewardesses let me be the first person off the plane I was in the 2nd to last seat in the back. They made an announcement for everyone to remain seated and I raced down the aisle then a man stood up and was in my way, I said “ I need you to MOVE!” A lady told me I should say “ Excuse me” I shot her a murderous glance and another man said “He has headphones on!” So I touched him on the shoulder and when he turned I had just enough room to shoot past him and jump over his bag like a gazelle. I raced through the airport only to see that the Uber I had reserved had canceled the ride and I could not schedule another. So I called Donna and she rescued us and then took the perfect photos of his first look at his new home. 😻😻😻😻

Ted Lasso Kansas City episode watch party with the incredible Chandler@cvaughn03! I work as a tailor for films and commercials and when I need a right hand woman it’s going to be Chandler! We worked through the night tailoring and reimagining a very important suit for Hannah Waddingham! The look I’m wearing is an homage to that very important garment and Chandler crochet the gown she’s wearing! I say between the two us we can make, alter, build, create ANYTHING!!
