A little bit about sewKC and who we've grown to be!

At SewKC, we believe in the beauty of originality. Each of our designs is meticulously hand-drawn by a talented local artist(my husband), ensuring that every piece is unique and crafted with care. Our commitment to quality doesn’t stop there; all our prints are produced locally, supporting our community and reducing our environmental footprint.

We may be a husband and wife team at the top, but sewKC is primarily operated and ran by moms and daughters. Our daughter Hazel sews and runs the machines (and bonus awesome bf Christian) comes home from college on the weekends and on breaks to help as much as they can Kristina Atagi, (one of my longest friendships) as we've been friends since middle school manages me and runs the studio. Her beautiful daughter Ava is models for us and often helps us arounTina Taylor Brooksa Taylor Brooks, my best friend became our brand ambassador and merchandise specialist. She's responsible for making our retail space look so good! And her gorJadyn Brookser Jadyn Brooks is in full time medical school but works for us part time in the evenings.

We all pour our passion into every stitch. Our creations not only reflect our artistic vision but also our love for our craft. Whether you’re looking for vibrant prints or custom embroidery, SewKC is here to bring your ideas to life.

John always starts with a sketch then redraws on his computer to digitize his design. This one will have easter eggs in the final design just like last years! This year will be a little more fun with Taylor Swift references!

It’s available now for preorder. We are printing on Monday but orders must be in by Wednesday to make sure you receive them by the Super Bowl!

And yes….that is a Hy-Vee receipt he drew his original concept on!
